John Harloe

Dr. Harloe's experience in cannabis began in 2003 at VCU Medical Center's department of Pharmacology and Toxicology, where his research focused on the pharmacological effects of cannabinoids and endocannabinoids, particularly in the field of learning and memory. After graduating with his Ph.D. in 2008, Dr. Harloe received his J.D. in 2011 from SMU law school in Dallas, TX. After practicing drug and device litigation for 8 years, in 2019 John moved to Denver to take a job as General Counsel at Balanced Health Botanicals (“BHB”). In 2021, BHB was acquired by Village Farms (NASDAQ: VFF), and in 2024, he was promoted to Village Farms executive team as General Counsel for Global Cannabis Businesses.
